Responsibilities:
- Handles aspects of the town's processes and proceedings about the election
- Records and documents town officials meetings, prepares agendas
- Swears in the legally elected town officials
- Issues needed permits and licenses (the Town of Clifton also issues hunting and fishing licenses)
- Property tax collector
- Oversees postings of official notices, ordinances and advertisements
