Responsibilities:
Daily Services:
Visually inspects the operation of wastewater treatment plant; inspects and examines all mechanical, electrical equipment and piping for proper operation; complete daily log sheet documenting specific checks.
Reviews past 24-hours of operations to ensure that monitoring parameters have been within acceptable limits; makes process adjustments to optimize performance.
Performs DEC required testing.
Weekly Services:
Maintains triplex pump station.
Monthly Services:
Greases/oils equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations; prepares operations report; completes NYSDEC reports; collects and submits samples for analysis; clean and flush system components as required.
Annual services:
Greases/oils equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations; cleans and flushes system components as required; coordinates annual flow meter calibration with outside vendor as required by SPDES permit; tests/verifies critical SCADA alarms are functional.
The Town Highway is responsible for all snow removal in the winter and does any digging that may be necessary for checking lines or pumps.
